Author Guidelines

Original Research Articles: Empirical studies or field-based investigations (4,000–8,000 words).

Review Articles: Comprehensive syntheses of existing literature (3,000–6,000 words).

Case Studies / Practice Notes: Reports of innovative arts, culture, or development projects (2,000–4,000 words).

Short Communications / Concept Papers: Emerging ideas or preliminary findings (1,500–3,000 words).

Book Reviews: Analytical reviews of recent scholarly works (1,000–2,000 words).

Language Policy

JSS-AHD accepts submissions in English, French and other language.
All accepted non-English manuscripts must include an English title and abstract.

Manuscript Preparation

a) General Formatting

·       File format: Microsoft Word (DOCX)

·       Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, double-spaced

·       Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides

·       Page numbers must appear in the bottom-right corner

b) Structure of Manuscript

1.     Title Page

o   Article title (bold, centered)

o   Author(s) full name(s), affiliation(s), email address(es)

o   Corresponding author identified with an asterisk (*)

o   ORCID ID (if available)

2.     Abstract: 150–250 words summarizing objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.

3.     Keywords: 4–6 keywords (separated by commas).

4.     Main Text:

o   Introduction

o   Literature Review / Theoretical Framework

o   Methodology / Approach

o   Results and Discussion

o   Conclusion / Implications

5.     Acknowledgments (if applicable)

6.     References (APA 7th edition format)

7.     Appendices / Tables / Figures (with proper captions)

Citation and References

JSS-AHD follows the APA 7th Edition style.

·       In-text citation: (Author, Year, p. xx)

·       Example: (Nussbaum, 2019, p. 42)

·       References list must be alphabetically ordered.

·       Example:

Nussbaum, M. C. (2019). The cosmopolitan tradition: A noble but flawed ideal. Harvard University Press.

Peer Review Process

·       All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process.

·       Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers.

·       Review focuses on originality, methodological soundness, scholarly contribution, and ethical standards.

·       The average review period is 4–6 weeks.

Publication Ethics

JSS-AHD adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.
Authors must ensure:

·       Originality and no plagiarism (checked through similarity software).

·       Proper citation of all sources.

·       Disclosure of any conflicts of interest.

·       Ethical approval for studies involving human participants (if applicable).

Article Processing Charge (APC)

JSS-AHD is an Open Access Journal.

·       Accepted articles require an APC of USD 50 to cover editing, DOI registration, and hosting costs.

·       Waivers or discounts may be granted to authors from low-income regions upon request.

Copyright and Licensing

·       Authors retain copyright under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license.

·       This allows sharing, adaptation, and distribution with proper attribution to the author(s) and JSS-AHD.

Plagiarism Policy

All submissions are screened using professional plagiarism detection software.

·       Articles with similarity index above 15% (excluding references) will be returned for revision or rejection.
