JSS-AHD follows a full open-access model, allowing unrestricted access to all published articles. Authors pay a nominal APC of $200 to cover publication and maintenance costs. The journal adheres to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) principles, ensuring integrity in authorship, review, and data reporting.

The journal is licensed by Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) according to which the users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author as long as they cite the source.
