Background: Today's global sustainability challenges require systems that connect physical land metrics, human well-being, and effective communication tools for learning. Traditional research often works in isolated fields, viewing land degradation, institutional strain, and digital language learning as unrelated issues. However, existing research has largely examined these domains independently, leaving limited understanding of how environmental monitoring, institutional communication, and educational innovation jointly contribute to sustainable institutional development.
Objectives: The study aims (i) to examine the contribution of geospatial monitoring to sustainable infrastructure, (ii) to investigate the relationship between organizational communication and institutional well-being, and (iii) to explore the role of digital language pedagogy in strengthening institutional resilience.
Methods: This study employed a convergent mixed-methods design integrating geoinformatics, psychometric analysis, and digital language pedagogy. Ground deformation and infrastructure stability were assessed over a 24-month period using Differential Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (D-InSAR) and Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). Organizational communication, psychological well-being, and institutional stress were examined through validated psychometric instruments and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on data collected from 380 educators and administrators. The educational component involved a quasi-experimental pre-test/post-test design with 120 university learners, evaluating the effects of digital storytelling, collaborative blogging, role-playing, and musical repetition on language proficiency and communication skills. Statistical analyses included t-tests, ANCOVA, and effect size estimation to compare learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups.
Results: Our geoinformatics analysis identified critical areas of surface displacement, with maximum subsidence rates of -24.8 mm/year linked to risks of structural damage. Psychometric analysis showed that clear and supportive communication positively impacted workplace well-being (β = 0.68, p < .001), acting as a buffer against stress in institutions. Tests of educational strategies revealed that using digital storytelling, role-playing, and musical repetition led to significant improvements in language learning (p < .01) and adaptability in communication.
Taken together, the findings indicate that physical resilience, organizational communication, and digital pedagogical practices represent complementary dimensions of institutional sustainability.
Conclusion: Physical, organizational, and educational settings share common stress factors, monitoring needs, and adaptation strategies. By applying spatial monitoring to organizational risks and using digital communication to boost adaptive capacity, institutions can create cohesive frameworks for sustainable community development. The proposed framework may support universities, educational institutions, and policy makers in designing integrated sustainability strategies that combine environmental monitoring, organizational resilience, and digital education.
